The Lexington Symphony brings high-quality classical music performances to the community and offers various workshops and programs throughout the year. In addition to offering 6 concerts each season, the symphony also strives to reach out to elementary school children to inspire interest.

Munroe Center for the Arts offers the community classes in visual and performing arts, martial arts, and ceramics for all ages, in addition to local artist studio spaces, an art gallery, summer camps, and events year-round.

The Bolton Fair is one of the area's biggest 3-day fairs full of family fun activities, agriculture displays, games and carnival rides, live music, demolition derby, livestock shows, pig racing, frisbee and herding dogs, and a fiddler contest.

Boston

The city of Boston boasts world-class performing arts organizations, including the Boston Ballet, Boston Symphony Orchestra, and Boston Pops.

The Wilbur Theater hosts some of the biggest names in stand-up comedy and live music in downtown Boston.

St. Patrick's Day in South Boston (or Southie as the locals call it,) is one of the biggest celebrations in the city, thanks to a large and proud Irish American population. The parade is one of the biggest in the country and nearly 1 million people gather to watch the floats and hear Irish bagpipes and music travel through the streets. Guinness beers will be flowing like water at any and every Irish pub in the city, of which there are many. Visitors can also take guided tours of the Irish Heritage Trail through the city and learn about more than 300 years of Irish history in Boston.
